God Creates a Church

To better understand where we are going as a church you need to know where we began. In February, 2009, Pastor Jeremy wrote in his journal, “I feel God wants me to plant a church in West Palm Beach.” He leaned back in his chair, took a deep breath, stared out the window, and shook his head. The words ‘crazy,’ ‘ridiculous,’ and ‘impossible,’ were just some of the words that immediately came to mind. He hadn’t even graduated seminary at this point. But the burden for the city of West Palm would not leave his heart. God continued to confirm one reoccurring mission for Jeremy and his wife, Lindsay … “Plant my church!”

Jeremy and Lindsay envisioned a church where the truth of Christ was exalted and the truth of God’s Word was exposited; a church where people would hear the gospel clearly set forth each week; a church where many people would experience and embody the true grace and true life found in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ; and a church that would be intentional about making disciples who would help shape and impact the culture around us for the glory of God.

A week went by since the day he wrote in his journal, and Jeremy was unexpectedly approached by someone at Panera Bread who asked Jeremy about his Bible that was open on the table. That person was Ron Bogner. From that one conversation, a friendship began to forge which soon found Jeremy leading a Bible Study in the home of Ron and Connie Bogner with the intent to start a church.

In June, 2009, a group of 11 people took a step of faith and made a 6 month commitment to be an integral part of something new that God was doing to reach this region for Christ. Our first Sunday service was held in the Bogner’s home on Aug. 2, 2009 and just 7 weeks later we launched our first public service at Bear Lakes Middle School. To see more, watch our “2009 Retrospective” video below:

What started out as a simple sentence penned in faith, has turned into a people living out the love of God with a passion to point West Palm Beach to the Truth of the Gospel.

We meet at Bear Lakes Middles School for public worship every Sunday. Service starts @ 10 a.m.  See the below video to witness what God is doing after two years of gospel ministry.
