At Truth Point, we have a heart of compassion to do what we can to impact our neighbors and the nations through various means of missional outreach. Free BBQ For Local Community:
On Saturday, May 15, we hosted a free cookout to everyone in a community nearby Bear Lakes Middle School. We were able to meet several people who stopped by for a free burger, hot dog and/or sweet corn. God blessed us with beautiful weather as we sought to be a blessing to those around us.
Outreach to Local Family:
When we began in September, God brought a young mother with 5 children who needed much help around their home. A group of us were able to wash walls, clean the kitchen, replace unusable faucets, door locks, etc. while another team took the children out for the day to minister the love of Jesus and share the gospel.
The Gordon Missionary Team:
The Gordon family was a part of our core team when Truth Point got started in the Bogner’s home from our Thursday night Bible study. John and Aimee felt God calling them to work with SCEI (Sports and Cultural Exchange International), a missionary group started 50 years ago by John’s grandfather. We are excited to support their work in bringing the gospel to many unreached people groups. You can follow their journey here.
Haiti Relief:
The work is far from done in bringing help and healing to those in Haiti impacted by the recent earthquakes. Truth Point Church is partnering with Missionary Flights International in order to help bring the needed supplies to Haiti. Also, we are sponsoring 8 children who have had to relocate from Haiti. We will be helping with uniforms and school supplies as they are now attending our host school. Those interested in providing help, please email Lindsay at proverbs31lm@yahoo.com.
